Exclusive interview with Christina Aguilera

You dabbled back into spanish with your track for the film Casa De Mi Padre, what was that like, and did it inspire you to possibly do more in spanish music soon?
I embrace my Latino fans. Since my first Spanish album I have really wanted to make another one. They have been with me since the start and are so loyal. I hope to make another album for them soon
What song that you have done do you consider your most personal?
Most of my songs were written or chosen from a place of personal interest. I think the best music comes from a place within, a place with meaning. And I know fans find a connection with that. Be it from a darker past experience, to the joys of being a new mom and a “superhero’ to just songs that express myself. I think for every song there is a story & it can speak to people in so many different ways. That is important to me.
What song from another artist do you most relate to or always feel connected to when you hear it?
It’s so hard to pick just one. I appreciate all different types of music.
What can we expect from your new material? Do you have a personal deadline for your new music?
The new album is going to be very introspective. I had some great ups and downs in the past few years and my album will really reflect all that. I am really excited for the album
What 3 artists would you like to one day collaborate with down the line or in upcoming releases?
I love working with my fellow coaches. I feel they are all great musicians in their own right and I always welcome crossing over into other genres be it rock with Adam, country with Blake and R&B with Cee Lo.
What would you consider your greatest accomplishment in your artistic and personal life?
After having Max I was changed as a person. I started to get involved with helping children and I became an ambassador for the United Nations World Food Programme. The work and travels have become something that I strive to do more every year. We have helped so many hungry kids and have so many more to feed.
You are looked up to as a strong woman, balancing love, family and a successful career… Is that something your mother instilled in you? Do you have any mottos?
My motto has always been to stay true to who you are. Don’t let others change you. Never forget what your goal is and where you came from and follow that goal until the end.
Tell us something people might be surprised to hear about you (a hidden passion, talent, quirk, etc)?
I love being creative and scrap booking. During my down time I love to sit on the floor and create books and scrapbooks, holiday memories for Max to cherish as he gets older.
